The Palio of Siena is one of the most attractive historical events in the world. On the occasion of the Palios of July 2nd and August 16th, Palazzo Chigi Zondadari sets up its “Palchi” (term used for the characteristic wooden stands) at the basement floor of the building located in Piazza del Campo, near the “San Martino“ turn….
The San Martino turn, the first that horses and jockeys of the Palio have to face after the start, is the most important for the subsequent outcome of the race. Suspence and pure adrenaline. The peculiarity of the track takes on its most spectacular level when the ten Contradas that participate compete for the first position facing this downhill turn. Spectators have the opportunity to experience these moments with a strong emotional impact up close as the seats are located near the curve and the horses run at a short distance from them.
All seats are numbered to allow the booking of small or large groups that can be gathered together on the stage, with the support of the staff who remain available to guests at any time
of the event.

The Palio is much more than a simple event, it is actually an experience that can only be appreciated live.
Palazzo Chigi Zondadari offers its customers a unique and exclusive location that gives them the opportunity to enjoy maximum relaxation inside its own courtyard in the hours immediately preceding the race, away from the summer heat and confusion.
The “hospitality” package, associated with the purchase of the ticket for the seat on the stage, gives the right to access the lounge area of the Palace (see map below). Each guest, after receiving a welcome gadget, can savor a nonalcoholic drink and enjoy a snack while sitting comfortably, without renouncing to keep an eye to the historical parade on the screen installed. It will also be possible to request extra services from the à la carte menu.
Lunch break
Palazzo Chigi Zondadari, on the day of the Palio, offers a tasty “lunch break” in the internal courtyard where you can savor the typical products of the Sienese territory.
Sheltered from the crowded streets, but in the heart of the city, guests can enjoy an informal lunch comfortably seated under the arcades of the building courtyard.
A self-service cold buffet is provided starting from 12.30 until 14.30, in order to allow guests to go and see the parade of the Contradas along the city streets.
