CORTEMPORANEA is an explicit play on words combining court and contemporary.
Born in 2022 from an idea and the initiative of Flavio Misciattelli, president of the Fondazione Palazzo Chigi Zondadari, Cortemporanea  is a curatorial project that each year transforms the courtyard and the grand salons of the piano nobile into an exhibition space dedicated to site-specific works by Italian and international artists.

A play on words between corte (courtyard) and contemporanea (contemporary), it serves as an invitation to experience a unique dialogue between contemporary art and historical architecture. Each year, the palace becomes the stage for new interpretations, hosting the work of an artist who reimagines the courtyard and interior architecture through their own vision.
