The Palio di Siena is one of the world's most attractive historical events.
On the occasion of the Palii of 2 July and 16 August, Palazzo Chigi Zondadari sets up its “Palchi” (term used for the characteristic wooden bleachers) at the foot of the building in Piazza del Campo, near the “curva di San Martino”. The curva di San Martino, the first that the horses and jockeys of the Palio face after the start, is the most important for the subsequent outcome of the race. Suspense and pure adrenaline.
The uniqueness of the Palio route takes on its most spectacular level when the ten participating Contrade compete for the first position by tackling this downhill bend. Spectators have the opportunity to experience these moments of strong emotional impact up close, as the stage seats are located near the bend and the horses parade a short distance from them.

All the seats are numbered to allow small or large groups to be booked together on the stages, with the support of the staff who are available to guests at any time during the event.

The Palio is much more than a simple event, it is actually an experience that can only be appreciated live. Palazzo Chigi Zondadari provides its guests with a unique and exclusive location that gives them the opportunity to enjoy maximum relaxation within its own court in the hours immediately preceding the race, sheltered from the summer heat and confusion. The “hospitality” package, associated with the purchase of a ticket for a seat on the stage, entitles you to access the Palace Court area (see map). Each guest, after receiving a welcome gadget, will be able to enjoy a non-alcoholic drink and a snack while comfortably seated, without giving up the opportunity to watch the historical walk thanks to the maxi TV screen. It will also be possible to request extra services from the à la carte menu.
Lunch Break
On the day of the Palio, Palazzo Chigi Zondadari offers a tasty “lunch break” in the inner courtyard, where guests can sample typical Sienese products.
Away from the crowded streets, but in the heart of the city, guests can enjoy an informal lunch comfortably seated under the palace's loggias. A self-service cold buffet is provided from 12.30 until 14.30, in order to allow guests to go and watch the Contrade parade along the city streets.
